In Sverdlov, north of Armenia, near the border with Georgia, the first sunday after the 20th August there are people coming form all over the country. Families that whan to thank the God sacrifice a sheep or a cock. The ritual is to walk around the church for three times, kill the animal and with the blood mark a cross in front of every member of the family, than light a candle in the curch and go home to eat together the animal. It is huge celebration, and the valley normally empty become full of tousand people.
